Fractions of Gaia

This piece represents a unique milestone in my artistic journey—my very first woven portrait. Combining felting, weaving, and embroidery techniques, I brought to life an intricate design inspired by the visionary logo of my cousin Gaia, founder of Fractions of Gaia (@fractionsofgaia). 🌿✨

The stones I felted onto her form symbolize the main energy centers (chakras) within the body, with the green stone representing the heart chakra as the most prominent. Her crown is adorned with a beautiful trinity of natural elements: gemstones, stars, and a butterfly, reflecting the harmony and beauty of nature.

This artwork embodies a profound spiritual journey, weaving together the essence of Mother Nature (Gaia) and creativity. The embroidered name, "Fractions of Gaia," signifies the idea of using small yet meaningful parts (fractions) of the earth to create something truly unique.
