This beautiful wall hanging combines the weaving warm threads with the embroidered “Eye of Horus” and “Ankh” the symbol of the Nile Key With a simple shadow of the pyramid. 

As you know from previous Amira’s work, Eye of Horus is a powerful symbol of protection in ancient Egypt. On this wall hanging Amira also added an Ankh symbol, an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol that was most commonly used in writing and in Egyptian art to represent the word for “life”. Other theories suggest that it represents air and water as important elements for generating life. It is also considered to be the key to the mysteries of nature. On the top, it has a kind of circle or oval, which has no beginning, no end and symbolizes the heavenly world, the sun. Also used to protect the home.
